save the glamourpuss, save the world?
We’ve been watching too much Heroes, it’s true. I’ve been having dreams about seducing politicians in swanky hotel rooms for morally dubious reasons and, far more socially acceptable, we’ve started trying to figure out what our super powers would be if we were on the show. (It’s like being on a plane and trying to guess the fellow passenger’s backstories, in case of a Lost-esque crash.)
Anyway, initially it seemed my not quite super but at least temporarily amusing power was remembering the names of characters on Heroes, even when they’ve only been mentioned once. It’s not the most useful skill, though, but thankfully Sally Fay and I discovered yesterday that we have some really rather excellent Super Girl Powers, things that really set us apart from other young ladies.
Mine is that I have lightning speed when getting ready to go out (contrary to popular belief, I don’t always wear three-inch black-and-pink false lashes with lime-green eyeshadow.) The Baron will vouch for me on this one. Sally exhibits super strength and can move furniture using solely the power of her own hands, without the need for any assistance.
If any mysterious Japanese men appear from the future to tell us “Save the quarterback, save the world!” then we’ll spring into action. I’ll blow dry my hair with surprising haste and be ready to watch Sally feng shui his bedroom, single handedly.
This whole “post every day for a month” thing is getting silly; can you tell?
