Shot dios (malos) at the troubadour with West Indian Girl for Prefix. They were fantabulous, as always. It rained like London, but that’s hardly their fault.

I dreamt last night about traveling the fine land of Embroidica, inhabited by bear cubs who speak Portuguese. Trees and simple houses stand in rows and in some regions grow underground, with cave hills rising on the surface. A great ravine splits the continent and fine strands of green cotton bridge the gap.

I was made to feel quite welcome, and slept very well. The beds were soft sewn leaves.

I don’t usually shoot boys. It was fun to take my countrymen to my adopted neighbourhood of Echo Park.

Then they took me to the, umm, Viper Room. Hmm. Anyway, they’re playing Little Pedro’s, I mean, Bordello, on Monday 25th, where I’m sure there’ll be slightly more lighting than Stephen holding a torch.

Long night. Good fun.

The first time I ever took photos of the Super Furry Animals, I was fourteen. Dear God. Time flies. I really grew up with their music and they’ve somehow never stopped being fantastic.

All bands should have crazy leather and suede suits embroidered with their album artwork.

Staci and Sally Fay helped me with a portrait shoot the other night, and managed to look ridiculously gorgeous all the while.

Our babechka Dita Dimoné turned 21 at the weekend. A celebration ensued; beautiful people rampaged up and down Sunset ’til sunrise.
