reading in hollywood
It was the sort of after-after-after party where by five past midnight some of the assembled young things were playing parlour games while others reclined before the bookcase.
(Philip from The Strange Boys, at Otto’s after some sort of Silver Lake vs Hollywood dodgeball-plus-music extravaganza.)

kanye west at kroq almost acoustic christmas
I can really take no credit for that picture, because we got one song that was lit almost entirely by strobes and I just held down the shutter button and hoped for good Kanye luck.
My card filled up (Uh, *duh*. I’ve never, ever done that before, I swear.) and that was the very last shot that I got — when I saw the glare on the sunglasses I was so happy.
All the blokes were standing around comparing their shots on their huge, manly cameras and sighing over the lack of light, while I stood there secretly gleeful in the knowledge that I probably had a better shot than they did.
Yep, I’m a dork.

ninjasonik in LA
I already told you this story, right?
The story of how we turned up in Austin and immediately decided that everything was rubbish and we should’ve stayed at home because we were walking down the main drag and everything sounded awful and people looked at us all funny and the lines to get into bars were huge, but then we wandered in the other direction and found our way to Ms Bea’s, where the Todd P party with Ninjasonik, Best Fwends and Matt & Kim was about to start and pretty soon we decided that everything was brilliant and we wouldn’t've missed it for the world?
And then we spent the rest of SXSW yelling Ninjasonik songs at each other, and adapting the lyrics to suit our own dumb purposes? So, anyway, we were very happy to welcome them to our little city.
