[That's just a ghetto shop sign round the corner from my house that I took a picture of on Valentine's Day, though.]
The actual EP cover has a picture I took on it, blood everywhere.
You can get it from the American iTunes store if you like.

I shot my favourite Texans again the other night, for Brooklyn Vegan.
I like Trash Talk. People jump out of trees for them. (LA, last summer.)
(I think I was in a tree taking pictures/trying not to die, too. I’m pretty sure they’re the only band I’ve ever climbed a tree for. I hate climbing trees.)
Oh yeah. Later on there was blood, but I already posted a bunch of the other shots ages ago. Enjoy.
LAist has pictures I took on a rainy night in Highland Park.
And then some of them showed up here, too:
And then, of course, there’s the Videothing coverage, in which I was employed to flash my speedlight as crazily as possible so that the super-special new slow-mo effect can be used.
One of the most fun days I’ve ever had the pleasure to shoot, and also an event that made me really proud of my friends and their friends.
The amount of imagination, effort and talent that was on display is sort of making me a little bit teary to look back on, so I’m going to shush and just show yous the pictures instead.
True story: So, the other night I saw my friend’s new band, Animal Style, for the first time. I took pictures, duh.
I got home several hours later, after some wine and some whiskey, and reviewed my shots and was reasonably pleased with them. Then I saw that my friend was online so I said to him “Hey, I really like your new band!”
He said, “Yeah? I didn’t think we sounded that good tonight.”
I really enthusiastically replied “Well, yeah, but the pictures look great! Those two kids have great hair!”
Real talk, kids.

[Edit: They actually are good. ]
This is how it was.
I think that this is also where the new Videothing thing of doing a weird slow-down crazy magic action when I hit make my speedlight flash originated.
My pictures from the fantastic ten-show day with the Soft Pack are up on Brooklyn Vegan today. (Some of them, at least. I have so many more. I’ll make a book one day when we’re all old.)
At the FMLY Mansion in Venice.
The Soft Pack played ten shows in one day on Saturday to celebrate their album release, and a bunch of us rode around with them on the Fuck Yeah Fest school bus.
I took more than 1,500 pictures so it’ll be a while before you see them, but if you’d like to know what sort of state we were in by the time we arrived (in the pitch dark) at the final party, listen to the video above.
Best day ever.
